Snow Camp London
Our London courses are run by Angus Maclellan and take place at the Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead.
Through the Youth Forum there are opportunities to represent Snow Camp at annual industry shows and festivals, gain work experience in the mountains, work towards further qualifications and develop fundraising and small business ideas to support snowsport activities. In recent years, alongside volunteering on Snow Camp courses, our young people volunteered at the Banff Film Festival and gained work experience in Val Thorens with Hotel Le Val Thorens and in Courchevel with LeSki. We also helped several volunteers find employment in the industry.
The Forum is run entirely by its youth members, with staff and volunteers attending for support. Their meetings enable Snow Camp to keep in touch with the changing environment that young people face and what they want to achieve. We have a strong relationship with these young people, some of whom have been attending for over 5 years. Young people also have access to our mental wellbeing workshops and 1-1 wellbeing sessions.
During our last full year, our members carried out over 2,000 volunteer hours on our courses.
Any young person who has attended our Excel course can join the Forum. Please speak to directly to the regional Programme Manager for updates on meetings and volunteering opportunities.
