Most notably, the annual Inghams Experience Week has been instrumental in helping us to introduce our young apprentices to the world of working in the mountains; equipping them with essential life skills and career pathways in the snow sports industry. Read on to learn more!
Founded in 1934 by Walter Ingham, Inghams has become one of the UK’s leading tour operators, specialising in ski, walking, and adventure holidays across Europe and Canada. With nearly a century of experience, they have cultivated a deep passion for sharing the magic of the outdoors, whether it’s skiing on snowy peaks or hiking through alpine meadows.
Their reputation for exceptional service and creating unforgettable holiday experiences reflects a love of adventure that aligns perfectly with Snow Camp’s mission. By partnering with us, Inghams not only extends its impact beyond tourism but also plays a pivotal role in making the world of snow sports more inclusive.
Since 2023, following a generous £3,000 donation to kick-start a brand-new partnership together, Inghams went above & beyond with a multi-year commitment to fly all Snow Camp Apprentices out to Val d’Isere for a truly life-changing experience.
The vision was simple: To use the Inghams ecosystem and staff network in resort to offer an invaluable insight experience for all Snow Camp Apprentices, to see firsthand what it takes to work a season in the mountains, whilst representing a leading brand and delivering exceptional customer service.
Over the past two years, all Snow Camp Apprentices, supported by our Programme Managers, have gained a real insight into the operational side of mountain life. From hospitality roles to ski school operations, young people see the diverse opportunities available in the snow sports sector whilst developing their own prospects of applying for roles the following winter.
Not only that but all Snow Camp Apprentices have been treated to some unforgettable times on the slopes with Snow Camp Ambassador and Olympic snowboarder Jamie Nicholls – a true champion of the collaboration and Snow Camp’s impact over the past decade.
With the 2025 National Apprenticeship Week running from the 10th to the 16th of February, we couldn’t be more excited about this year’s experience coinciding seamlessly.
Building on the success of 2023 and 2024, the 2025 week will once again bring together Snow Camp apprentices with Inghams resort staff for an unforgettable week in the French Alps.
