At Snow Camp, our mission to empower underserved young people through snow sports is made possible by the invaluable support of our partners. One such esteemed collaborator is Halsbury, whose dedication and contributions have significantly enhanced the experiences we offer. In this blog, we highlight the multifaceted support Halsbury provides to the Snow Camp journey.
Halsbury’s involvement with Snow Camp extends beyond traditional support. Each year, they host a ‘Day in the Industry’ for our England-based apprentices, offering a unique glimpse into the inner workings of the snow sports travel sector. This immersive experience allows apprentices to understand the complexities of organising group ski holidays, from planning and logistics to customer service and operations. Such exposure is invaluable in equipping our young people with industry insights and practical skills.
Halsbury’s support doesn’t stop there. The organisation of the ISSC provides Snow Camp participants with an incredible platform to compete, learn, and grow. Last year’s success saw one of our apprentices achieve a commendable 4th place in the U19 girls’ slalom. This year, we’re eagerly anticipating even greater accomplishments.
Through events like the ISSC, our apprentices not only engage in snow sports but also learn valuable life skills, forge connections, and open doors to future opportunities.
This year, we’re thrilled to announce that four Snow Camp apprentices will take part in the 2024 Independent Schools Ski Championships (ISSC), set to take place in Sestriere, Italy, in early December.
Aiden, Shiloh, Natalia, and Erin will represent Snow Camp on the slopes, embracing the challenge of competitive skiing while continuing to refine their skills. This experience will not only develop their confidence and technical abilities but also teach them resilience, teamwork, and determination.
Meanwhile, Robyn will join the Halsbury team as a rep, gaining hands-on experience in event coordination and client support. This role exemplifies our commitment to finding meaningful exit pathways for our young people, bridging the gap between their Snow Camp journey and a future in the snow sports industry.
This year’s event highlights the broad scope of opportunities Snow Camp creates for its apprentices, thanks to the generosity and commitment of partners like Halsbury.
Beyond events, Halsbury supports Snow Camp in other key ways, including facilitating work experience placements. This ensures our apprentices can apply their skills in real-world settings, preparing them for careers in the snow sports industry. Robyn’s role at the 2024 ISSC is a prime example of how these placements create tangible pathways for growth and employment.
Collaborations with organisations like Halsbury are crucial in expanding our reach and impact. These partnerships enable us to offer diverse opportunities that enrich the lives of young people, fostering personal growth and skill development through snow sports.
The collaborative efforts between Snow Camp and Halsbury exemplify the profound impact partnerships can have on young lives. Halsbury’s ongoing support has not only elevated our ability to deliver transformative experiences but has also highlighted what can be achieved when organisations come together for a shared purpose.
However, the need for support is greater than ever. Each year, we strive to reach more young people, introduce them to the life-changing power of snow sports, and equip them with essential skills to build brighter futures. To achieve this, we need the backing of more businesses and organisations that share our vision.
Becoming a partner of Snow Camp offers unique opportunities to support young people while aligning your organisation with a mission that creates a tangible social impact. Here’s how you can get involved:
Direct funding helps us expand the reach of our programmes, ensuring more young people can access the benefits of snow sports and personal development training. Your company’s name will be prominently associated with helping to change lives and fostering goodwill among your stakeholders.
Like Halsbury’s ‘Day in the Industry,’ your company can host workshops, offer apprenticeships, or create placements that expose our participants to potential career pathways. This not only enhances their employability but also introduces them to industries they may never have considered.
Help us organise or fund events like the Independent Schools Ski Championships (ISSC), giving participants the chance to showcase their skills and connect with industry professionals. Event partnerships can also provide fantastic PR opportunities for your organisation.
Whether through a corporate donation, matched employee giving, or fundraising challenges, financial contributions are vital to keeping our programmes accessible and impactful. Every penny goes directly towards helping young people realise their potential.
Partnering with Snow Camp doesn’t just mean financial support – sharing our mission and amplifying our message can create a ripple effect. Use your company’s platforms to tell your audience about the incredible work being done and inspire others to join in.
Supporting Snow Camp not only changes lives but also brings incredible value to your organisation:
