The Championships is one of the biggest events in the British ski racing calendar and our Midlands apprentice, Lakshmi and our youth volunteers Charlotte, Lucas and Havsa were excited and honoured to be part of this prestigious event.
Over the course of the week they supported the GB Snowsport team by helping to record racers’ times, assisting staff at the start gates and they were on hand to aid the pro athletes. They even bumped into Snow-Camp ambassadors Jack Gower, Nick Moynihan and Cara Brown!
When our young people weren’t working hard on the snow, they were representing Snow Camp at industry events. As our youth ambassadors we were so proud to see them promoting our work to new people.
In their free time our young people immersed themselves in the ski culture by trying as many new activities as possible. From skiing from the top of the Grande Motte to Val Claret to learning how to wax and edge their skis and fix core shots. Huge thank you to Tignes Spirit for providing our young people with these new skills!
We would just like to say a big thank to GB Snowsport, Sir John Ritblat, Jamie Ritblat and the Delancey team for involving us in the Championships, it was an outstanding event to be part of. Big well done and many congratulations to all the Championship winners and to everyone who took part.
